SSSP template, without the blank template
A Site-Specific Safety Plan the main contractor will accept, personalised for your site and sorted in minutes.
A Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) is the document a New Zealand contractor hands the main contractor before work starts. A downloadable template leaves you to write every hazard, control and reference yourself. We generate a personalised SSSP for your trade, site and crew, built on HSWA 2015 and the General Risk and Workplace Management Regulations 2016, and email it ready to hand over.
What your SSSP includes
- ✓Project and site details, and PCBU / contact structure
- ✓A trade-specific hazard and risk register (editable)
- ✓Task analyses for your trade’s common tasks
- ✓Emergency plan and site induction record
- ✓Subcontractor and PCBU management (overlapping duties)
- ✓Incident and notifiable-event reporting
- ✓Worker engagement and a review and update schedule

SSSP template: common questions
What is an SSSP template?
An SSSP template is a starting layout for a Site-Specific Safety Plan. The catch is that a template is generic: you still have to fill in every hazard, control and reference yourself. We generate a personalised SSSP for your actual site, trade and crew instead, so it is site-specific from the start.
How much does an SSSP cost in New Zealand?
Our SSSP Pack is NZ$89 as a one-time payment, with no subscription. The Trade Pack, which adds the full task-analysis library for your trade and a toolbox talk set, is NZ$149. Template shops charge more for a static document you still have to complete, and some tools lock the generator behind a yearly subscription.
Will the main contractor accept it?
The plan follows the Site Safe conventions New Zealand main contractors recognise, and it is written for your specific site and crew rather than as a generic template. If a main contractor asks for a change, reply within 24 hours and we revise it free.
Is this legal advice?
No. The SSSP is health and safety documentation that helps you meet your duties under HSWA 2015 and the General Risk and Workplace Management Regulations 2016. The PCBU remains responsible for reviewing it with the crew and adapting it to actual site conditions.
How fast is it?
Most plans are generated, checked and emailed within minutes of payment, as a PDF ready to hand over. An editable Word copy is available too.
