▸How much does a SWMS cost in Australia?
A single site-specific SWMS is about A$39 from a verified generator, or A$100 to A$300 each from a safety consultant. A free template costs nothing up front but takes one to two hours of your time to complete properly per document, which is the hidden cost this calculator makes visible.
▸Is a free SWMS template actually free?
The template file is free. The compliant, site-specific SWMS is not: you still have to identify the high risk categories, write the work method, rate the risk, and set the controls in hierarchy order for every document. At a normal trade charge-out rate, that time usually costs more than a generated SWMS.
▸When is a trade pack cheaper than single SWMS?
