A Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is a document required before high risk construction work starts. It identifies the work, the high risk construction work categories involved, the hazards of each step, and the control measures in hierarchy order, and it must be site-specific: written for the actual site, crew, and equipment, not reused from another job.
